OHS Band Weekly Updates 12/5/16
Hello everyone,
Here are this week’s announcements.
Nice Job!
Nice job at the parade on Saturday. The weather cooperated with us and we hope everyone enjoyed the free lunch. Thank you to Char Dial for being the person organizing the logistics of the lunch.
Congratulations!
Congratulations to everyone involved with Madrigals for a fine performance this weekend. Both Mrs. A-M and myself have heard wonderful compliments about the hard work you put into this weekend’s performances. You should all be proud of what your hard work has accomplished in this great Olympia tradition!
Pep Band
It’s time for basketball season and that means one thing, pep band. There are two games on the schedule that occur during this semester and one game over winter break. The games are on December 6 (Prairie Central), 9 (U-High), and January 6 (Central Catholic). Call time for each game will be 6:15 PM. Depending on how close the game is, it could finish between 8:45 PM and 9:15 PM. For these games, students should wear something Olympia NOT in the visiting school’s colors.
Google Classroom
Our next Google Classroom assignment has been posted. Be sure to check to see what the assignment is and when it is due!
Help Needed!
We need a handful of students to help with the OMS Bands Holiday Concert on Tuesday, December 13. We need four people to work as a stage crew and one person to record/stream the concert. While extra credit will not be offered, we will sign off any hours for Key Club and/or National Honor Society. Please contact me if you are willing/interested in helping.
OHS Band Holiday Concert
The OHS Band Holiday Concert is quickly approaching! It will be on Tuesday, December 20 at 7:00 PM. Students should dress nicely (holiday colors would be great!) and be on stage for warm up/sound check at 6:30 PM. The doors will open to the audience at 6:45 PM. Join us for a night of fun and festive music special to the occasion.
