Parent Help

The Olympia CUSD16 music program cannot function without help from parents/guardians and other friends. Below are different ways you can get involved in supporting us. If you are interested or have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call.

Trailer puller: We need someone with a large enough vehicle capable of pulling the band trailer to parades and marching band competitions. This does not need to be one family but can be split between multiple families.
Uniform Crew: Helps with fittings, alterations, and the organization of the uniforms.
Band Camp Food Crew: Makes the meals/dishes for the band camp staff of usually 8 to 10 people. A full meal isn’t necessary if others can coordinate entrees, sides, and desserts.
Water Crew: Walks with the band during parades and passes out water bottles to the students to keep them hydrated.
Pit Crew: Helps move front ensemble equipment and color guard equipment onto and off of the field for the field show.
