OMS Band Weekly Updates 10/17/16

Hello everyone,

Here are the announcements for this week.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Neil Alford for being selected for the ILMEA District 3 Jr. High Honors Band! He was one of 39 alto saxophones that auditioned and less than half made it into the group. Auditions were held on Monday, October 10 and consisted of students from all over Eastern Central Illinois. Nice job Neil!

Concert Reassessment

Students who wish to reassess their concert performance may do so by the end of the day Thursday. Those that received a 2 or 1 will be asked to play through their music from the last concert. Any 7th/8th Grade student wishing to receive a 4 will have to re-answer the questions on the Ensemble Critique form that was filled out in class. These sheets were handed back last week. Students should see me if they did not receive it. All students wishing to reassess should fill out the reassessment form for their grade level found on my teacher page.

Fundraiser Delivery

All fundraiser orders can be picked up in the Fine Arts Hallways (by the band/chorus room) on Tuesday, October 18 between 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm. We ask that everyone arrange to have everything picked up that day as we do not have refrigerated storage for any items that are left over night.
