OHS Band Weekly Updates 8/15/16

Hello everyone,

Here are the announcements for this week. Happy start of school!

Tuesday, August 16

Just a reminder, there will NOT be rehearsal tomorrow (Tuesday) night due to the OHMS Open Houses. There is a parent meeting in the Chorus Room at 5:50 for parents.

National Anthem

We will be playing the National Anthem (memorized!!) for the Danvers Days Parade on August 21. You can find the music and part assignments by clicking here. Students should come to rehearsal on Thursday with their copy printed. If students are unable to print their part at home, please contact us ASAP.

Spartan Night

Our next performance is Friday, August 19 at Spartan Night in the OHS Gym. We do not have a schedule yet. However, we will take a group picture in the gym. Students should wear their summer uniforms. As soon as we have a schedule, we will send out another email with details.

Waynesville Parade

The Waynesville Parade on Saturday, August 20. Call time for students riding the bus will be 1:30 PM to load the trailer. We depart from the school at 1:45 PM. If you’re meeting us at the parade, we will meet by the post office at 2:15 PM. The parade will step off at 3:00 PM. We should be finished at the post office around 3:30 PM. We depart Waynesville at 3:45 PM and should be back to school around 4:15 PM.

Danvers Days Parade

The Danvers Days Parade will be Sunday, August 21. Call time for students riding the bus will be 12:30 PM to load the trailer. We depart from the school at 12:45 PM. If you’re meeting us at the parade, we will meet by the elevators at 1:15 PM. We will be performing the National Anthem for this parade (MEMORIZED!!!!). The parade will step off at 2:00 PM and we should finish at the elevators at 2:30 PM. We depart Danvers at 2:45 PM and should be back to school around 3:00 PM.

*PARENT HELP NEEDED*

1. We are in need of a trailer driver this weekend. Please contact me ASAP if you’re interested/willing to help out.
