OHS Band Weekly Updates 9/14/15

Hello everyone,

Here are the announcements for this week.

Congratulations!

Nice job with both performances last week. Congratulations on your 2nd place finish in Class 2A! Keep up the hard work.

Fundraiser Orders Due

Fundraiser orders and money are due Tuesday, September 15. If you are unable to turn it in by then, please contact Mr. Brubaker or Mrs. A-M.

Football Game

Our next football game is this Friday. Right now, the forecast for Friday has a high of 86. We will plan on summer uniforms. However, this may change during the week, especially if the forecast changes to be cooler. We plan on playing in the stands a little more for this game. We will have photocopies of “Sweet Caroline” and “Land of 1,000 Dances” made for Tuesday’s rehearsals. With each game, we hope to add one or two stand tunes.

Morton Itinerary

The itinerary for Saturday’s competition in Morton and additional information can be found by clicking here. A quick note about this competition: The last time we attended, I-155 traffic and Pumpkin Festival traffic caused some parents and families to miss our performance. It is strongly recommended by the contest hosts for us to enter the town of Morton on Co Rd 2000 N (US 150) which eventually turns into Jackson St in town. This will be the quickest way in and out of the town that weekend.
