OHS Band Weekly Updates 8/24/15

Hello everyone,

Here are the updates for this week.

Tuesday Night Rehearsals

Our regularly scheduled Tuesday evening rehearsals start this week. Rehearsal promptly begins at 6:00 PM (usually in the stadium) and will finish at 8:30 PM. Students who elect to stay at school in between the school day and rehearsal are expected to be in the fine arts area. No food is allowed in the band room or the fine arts hallway. There will not be game tape this week. We hope to restart that next week.

Volunteer Opportunity

We are looking for volunteers to come out and work with the 7th/8th Grade Band on our sectional night, Monday, August 31 from 6:00 until 8:00. This is a great way to rack up some NHS/Key Club hours. We are looking for one person to represent each section. Email me if you’re interested.

Calendar Change

It has been brought to my attention that the date for the Atlanta Fall Festival Parade is actually September 12. Our original calendar had September 5. I apologize for the error. Please expect to have a pre-competition rehearsal, parade, and competition performance at Washington all on the 12th. An itinerary for the day will be release within the next couple of weeks.

Monday, September 7 – Delavan Fall Festival Labor Day Parade – Call: 9:00, Dress: Summer uniform

Saturday, September 12 – Atlanta Fall Festival Parade/Washington Marching Band Invitational – Call: TBD, Dress: Full uniform
